A Decade in the Making
In 2016, Bryce Mansfield traveled to Japan without knowing that a random meeting would eventually shape the future of Ichie Global.
What began as a chance encounter with Tetsuzo Ikeda became years of friendship, travel, and unforgettable experiences across Japan, from quiet local restaurants and hidden neighborhoods to long conversations, late-night trains, and places that never appear in guidebooks.
Over time, they realized the moments that stayed with them most were not the famous landmarks, but the feeling of experiencing Japan through genuine local connection.
For nearly a decade, the idea of creating something together continued to return in conversation.
Eventually, they decided to build Ichie Global, a company centered around thoughtful travel, cultural connection, and the belief that the most meaningful experiences cannot be replicated.
Inspired by the philosophy of Ichigo Ichie (一期一会), every journey is approached as something personal, fleeting, and impossible to repeat in exactly the same way again.
